Weeks 1–2
Pain
Take the pain out of moving.
Hands-on work eases the pain and stiffness that have you moving carefully, starting your very first visit.
What We Treat
One fall can change how you move for years, usually because of everything you quietly stop doing afterward. Falls come from specific, findable causes: strength, reflex timing, vision, footwear, and the house itself.

Why It Happens
A fall is usually the end of a chain, not a random event. Legs that can’t stand up out of a chair without a push. Reflexes that no longer produce the quick catch step. Vision and inner ear signals that disagree with each other. Shoes with no support, and a house with rugs, cords and dark corners. Every one of those can be found, and most of them can be trained.
That’s what a fall risk screening is for. Your licensed therapist checks strength, walking, reflex timing and the routes you take at home. If you’re the adult child reading this, you’re not overreacting. If you’re the one who fell, you were being sensible, not weak, when you started doing less. Either way, there is far more to work with here than being careful.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here’s what the four phases look like for fall prevention.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Hands-on work eases the pain and stiffness that have you moving carefully, starting your very first visit.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Hips and ankles get their motion back, because those are the joints that have to react when you trip.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Chair rises, step training and reflex work rebuild the strength and the timing a save actually needs.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
Footwear, stairs, lighting and the rooms you use most get reviewed so the gains hold: that’s the endpoint, not just another appointment.
I came here because of a hip fracture and lumbar radiculopathy due to a fall. I had been suffering for 10 months with my mobility declining on a daily basis. It was depressing. With time and patience, I’m finally feeling better and grateful that I’m gaining my mobility again

The endpoint: stronger legs, quicker reflexes, a safer house
Questions, Answered
You do not have to wait to be screened. An X-ray or an MRI shows bones and joints. Neither one can tell you how fast a reflex fires or how steady a walk is. Those get measured in person, by hand. We start with a hands-on evaluation of strength, walking, vision and reflex timing, and if something in that screening needs a physician, we will say so and help you get there.
Yes, when it is supervised and built for the person in front of us. You are one-on-one with your licensed therapist for the whole visit, every visit, with hands close by. We start where you are steady, then add challenge only once you have earned it. Avoiding every challenge is what lets strength and reflexes keep fading, so doing nothing carries a risk of its own.
The number depends on what the screening finds, and you will not be left guessing. Your plan runs through four phases: Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent. You leave visit one knowing what yours looks like, and you always know which phase you are in and what is left. That is a plan with an endpoint, not an open tab of appointments. We are in network with most major plans including Medicare, and we call your insurer to verify your benefits before your first visit, every patient without exception. New Jersey has direct access too, so no referral is needed to start.
