About Central Jersey Physical Therapy

The clinic that treats the cause.

Most clinics manage your symptoms and call it a plan. We built this place to end them: one-on-one, with your licensed therapist, every single visit.

Our Story

This isn’t our story. It’s yours.

Ajay Kalola, LPT, co-founder of Central Jersey Physical Therapy

Ajay Kalola, LPT, Co-Founder

Ajay graduated from the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1996, and he has been treating Old Bridge ever since. Two years later he and his wife Minal opened their own doors on Woodward Drive with three words on the wall: compassion, excellence, integrity. Those words are still the hiring standard.

His work sits where the hard cases go. Joint replacements, spinal surgery, fractures, the recoveries where somebody has already been told to expect less. He is a specialty-trained vestibular therapist, so the patients nobody else could steady tend to end up in front of him. He also teaches: as a certified clinical instructor, he trains the next round of doctors of physical therapy on this floor.

Minal built the other half of the practice, and she is the reason women in this town have somewhere to go for pelvic pain, incontinence and pregnancy recovery instead of being told it is just part of it. Between them they have spent thirty years being the clinic that local doctors send their own families to. That referral is the one they are proudest of. The people who do best here are the ones who fix things: their houses, their teams, their families. This is where they finally fix the thing they’ve been putting off: themselves.

“Every evaluation starts the same way: tell me your story.”

What We Believe

Four things we’ll never compromise.

Your session. Not shared.

No techs bouncing between rooms, no handoffs mid-visit. Just you and your therapist, the whole time.

Cause first. Symptoms follow.

You’ve probably chased the pain itself before and never found why it started. We find the why, then the ache stops coming back.

Plans end. That’s the point.

You shouldn’t need a punch card. Every plan comes with a graduation date, so you always know how close you are.

You’re not a protocol.

Your job, your body, your goals: that’s what your plan is built around, never pulled from a generic sheet.

The Difference

Not your typical clinic.

A typical clinic

  • You explain your pain to a different aide every visit
  • Your session gets split with two other patients
  • The same pain creeps back in a few months
  • No graduation date, just book again next week

Central Jersey Physical Therapy

  • One-on-one with your licensed therapist, every visit
  • Your full session, uninterrupted, every time
  • A cause-first evaluation before we treat anything
  • A plan with an endpoint, mapped out on day one

Feel the difference in your first visit.

Rooted in Old Bridge

This is our neighborhood too.

We’ve been treating Old Bridge for 30+ years: your neighbors, your teammates, your kids’ coaches. The mom who’s been pushing through it so nobody else has to worry? She’s probably on our schedule too. Recovery is a lot more personal when it’s local.
