Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is one of the most common causes of vertigo — the sudden sensation that you’re spinning or that the inside of your head is spinning. BPPV causes brief episodes of mild to intense dizziness and is usually triggered by changes in the position of your head.

Our therapists are highly trained in treatment of BPPV and balance disorders. Physical therapy is the treatment of choice for BPPV and is most often resolved in one visit. While BPPV is usually resolved in the first visit, some patients find it useful to continue physical therapy for balance training.
